Born in Ballia in 1947, schooling from J.B.inter college Garwar, Ballia. Did B.Sc.(Ag.), M.Sc.(Ag.) from Govt. Agriculture college Kanpur.In M.Sc.( Ag.)Agronomy scored First Division with 2nd Position in Agra University. Awarded Sr.Fellowship by both C.S.I.R. & I.C.A.R . But, preferred I.C.A.R.fellowship for Ph.D.work at Central Arid Zone Research Instt. Jodhpur, Ph.D.degree in Agronomy(Crop Nutrition) was awarded by the University of Udaipur. Awarded Fellowship ( F.I.S.A.C.) of the prestigious-Indian Society Of Agrl. Chemists, Sheila Dhar Instt. of Soil Sciences, Allahabad. Prize Winner in All India Essay Competition ( Food Security: India’s Quest for Self Reliance in Food) organized by Indian Instt. of Public Administration (I.I.P.A)New Delhi. on the occasion of World Food Summit 1996 sponsored by Ministry of Food, Govt of India. Published-34 Research papers in National/international Research journals, about 55 radio talks from All India Radio, Lucknow station,3-4 programs from Door Darshan Kendra Lucknow, written about 8-10 booklets.

For a few months working as Asstt. Professor ( Agronomy) at the University of Udaipur, Udaipur ( Raj.)Then appointed Sr. Agronomist, Sahu Chemicals & Fertilizers, Sahupuri, Varanasi ( U.P.)served there for 9 years. In 1978 joined Deptt. of Science & Technology, Govt. of the U.P.
